Barclaycard cuts credit limit

Barclaycard, first introduced in 1966

People can now buy less on Britain's first credit card, Barclaycard. In a bid to help people stay in the black, Barclaycard has reduced credit limits to its customers. Back in 1966 Barclays first introduced the credit card. The original Barclaycard was sent out to one million customers. Lloyds Bank customers had to wait six years before rival Access, with its slogan "Access takes the waiting out of wanting", was launched.
